Our Process
Before we begin, you’ll fill out a new client profile form including your sizing, lifestyle, frustrations, and goals. Then we’ll schedule a short call to answer any questions and further explain our process.
-
Closet Edit
Your stylist will start by coming to your home and reviewing your wardrobe, helping you decide what you should keep, repurpose, tailor, or let go, while creating a shopping list curated just for you. This is a key step for your stylist to learn about you, your wardrobe needs, and preferences. Next, your stylist will suggest the best method for shopping for your needs.
-
Strategic Shopping
Next, your stylist will thoughtfully curate a personalized Virtual Storefront with links based on your shopping list, which you'll review together. We also offer store-to-door shopping, where your stylist will order and bring items you've selected to your home for an in-home try-on session. This approach is designed to make your shopping experience as hassle-free as possible.
-
Outfit Styling
After we've edited your closet and filled in the missing pieces, we'll complete the put-together process with an outfit styling session. During this session, we'll create various looks using both new additions and existing items from your wardrobe. Additionally, we'll capture photos of each outfit, offering you a convenient visual guide to streamline your daily dressing routine.
FAQs
How much time should I schedule?
Every client’s wardrobe is different. Let us know ahead of time either how much time you’d like to spend or what you’d like to accomplish, and your stylist can then advise you on exact timing. You may end up needing less time than originally scheduled; you may also prefer to keep going, if both of your schedules allow.
I’m nervous! I’ve never done this before.
Keep an open mind — this is supposed to be helpful, cathartic, and fun! We’re professionals and experts in apparel and style — we’re not interested in judging you, your body, or your clothing. We’re interested in making getting dressed easier and helping you feel more confident… so you can fully enjoy and focus on every occasion for which you’re getting dressed.
Do I have to do a closet edit?
A closet edit is a key component of our process. It is important that your stylist gets to know you, your existing wardrobe, and how things fit you. A more abbreviated closet review service is available for clients who want to 'start from scratch' and build an entirely new wardrobe.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
For 'Store-to-Door' in-home appointments, a clean and easy-to-access space is advised. For shopping appointments, wear your favorite, most versatile undergarments. Feel free to bring other underpinnings (camisoles, smoothing garments, etc.) as well.
